Original artifacts have a tremendous power to connect people with history. They play an irreplaceable role in teaching the history of the Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Plant (RFNWP), because nothing immediately captures attention and leads to an understanding like a physical object or a photo. The Rocky Flats Cold War Museum (RFCWM) is committed to preserving these objects and photos so they can help educate people about the relevance of the Cold War and the RFNWP’s role in this critical part in America’s nuclear history.
Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.

Robert J. Oppenheimer, the father of the American atomic bomb (1945, from the Bhagavad Gita, after witnessing the explosion of the first atomic bomb.)
